Meter Reservation 

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines for reserving parking meters to accommodate special events, commercial needs, or specific requests from businesses and organizations while ensuring fair access and efficient use of public parking resources.

Eligibility

  • Businesses and Organizations: Local businesses or organizations seeking to reserve parking meters for commercial purposes or events.

  • Special Events: Reservations may be made for public or private events that require exclusive use of parking spaces.

  • Government and Non-Profit Entities: Local government agencies and non-profit organizations may reserve parking meters for community-related activities or services.

Reservation Process

Application Submission: Applicants may apply online via parkmacon.com. Applications must include information about the total number of spaces being reserved, the post-id of the meters that will be reserved, the reason for the reservation request, and the duration of the meter reservation. Application requests must be submitted at least 7 business days prior to the requested reservation date. 

Application Review: Park Macon will review the application based on availability, compliance with regulations, and the impact on public parking. Priority will be given based on the nature of the request and availability.

Approval and Payment: Once approved, a confirmation will be sent along with a reservation fee invoice. Payment must be made within 2 business days to secure the reservation. 

Reservation Confirmation: Upon receipt of payment, a reservation confirmation will be issued.  Staff will bag the reserved meters on the confirmed date of reservation. 

Terms and Conditions

  • Duration: Reservations are granted for a maximum duration of 48 hours at a time.

  • Maximum number of meters allowed for reservation: No more than 10 meters may be reserved at a time. 

  • Usage: Reserved parking meters must be used in accordance with the reservation purpose outlined in the application. Unauthorized use or changes to the reservation purpose may result in penalties or cancellation.

  • Maintenance: The reserving party is responsible for ensuring that the reserved spaces are clear and accessible for the duration of the reservation. Park Macon is not liable for any damage or issues that arise during the reservation period.

  • Cancellation: Cancellations must be made at least 1 day prior to the scheduled reservation. Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to confirmed reservation will qualify for a full refund. 

  • Compliance: All reservations must comply with local parking regulations and laws. Park Macon reserves the right to cancel reservations or impose additional restrictions as needed.

  • Timeline: Reservation requests must be made at least 7 business days in advance of the requested reservation date.
